The E5790651 is the serial, and again, no real practical information is derived from that either. The Model number is all you need for parts/service..."

"Hello to anyone who can give me a little advice.
I am thinking of buying a Johnson 120 VRO with the controls for $900.
My concern is that it has been sitting for 2 years and it needs a starter.
Is this motor worth the money considering that it will need the carbs gone through,a new water pump and a used starter at the least.
The guy told me that it ran perfect until the startewr quit and that it has No corrosion.
I dont know the year but here is the # off of it
J120TXEND.
