OMC 57 STERN DRIVE WATER LEAK

"I have an 1989 OMC 5.7 Cobra.

"I have an 1989 OMC 5.7 Cobra. I also have a slight waterleak coming in somewhere in or around the Stern drive. I can faintly hear it. Is sounds like water running and then dripping down in the bilge, but I cannot see it. It only leaks when it is in the water and does not leak from flushing. Any thoughts on (A) Where it may be leaking from? (B) How to diagnose it? Thanks"

"Sounds to me like you have a leaking/split Outdrive bellow. You need to check it before it wrecks your UJ, and Gimble Bearing."

"Thanks for the reply. Sorry I should have mentioned that I have replaced the Outdrive Bellow when I serviced the outdrive last. The outdrive had the leak then and that is what I thought it was so I went ahead and replaced it, But the leak is the same and didnt changed for the worse or better, so that led me to believe it wasnt the bellow. When I changed it there was no sign that it had been leaking, and there was no water in the old one, just grease. Thanks again."
