Fuel Pump Diaphragm Kit Missing Parts

the kit (Quicksilver)

the kit (Quicksilver) is missing the 2 new check valves they were ok when i checked them should i replace them or put the other new parts on and go with it
 
If the original check valves a

If the original check valves are made of rubber type material they should be replaced. Mercury replaced them with flat plastic type. The ones I've seen came with an instruction sheet.

"Just rebuilt my fuel pump yesterday and had the same question. IBNFISN is right, they eliminate the rubber and went with just the plastic to try and help eliminate problems such as cupping and drying out."
