can any one tell me what a solenoid primer does.

A solenoid primer is realy an

A solenoid primer is realy an electric valve. It works by spraying fuel directly where you want it ( carburetor throat/ intake manifold / intake ports )It eliminates choke plates in the carburetors.They have been used on Johnson and Evinrude since the early 80's and are top notch for quick starting.

thanks not-a-student does this

thanks not-a-student does this replace the choke on my 95 merc force.dont see any ovious choke on the carb.
