"Hello,
I just purchased a used boat Bayliner capri Bow rider 83 and i cant seem to get the boat to idle in neutral smooth. If you put it in gear it is smooth. I would like to figure this out soon.New plugs will not idle less then 1000.Did a reading across the coil (+)to center got a 4.0 ohms temp outside was baout 80 deg. (+) to (-) got reading of 11.04. if this helps

I have tried the idle screw an

I have tried the idle screw and if i adjust it the idle does smooth out but off hand i forget what the RPM's are but it was to high. as the air screw goes i turned it in all the way to see if it was funtioning and the engine did die so i know it works so i turned it all the way out started the boat and turned it in till it started to run rough then backed out a 1/4 turn still same problem.
