AQ125 bellhouse removal

"I have my engine out of the boat, I am trying to remove the bellhouse and I am afraid of breaking the casting. It is about 3/8" apart but that is as far as she'll go. I've tried lightly tapping with a wood block, and prying with a bar but no luck. Any suggestions? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Roy"

"Try going to the auto parts store, and get what's called PB blast.......
It is a penetrating oil/catalyst. I can't live without it. Spray the main shaft with it and let it set for like five minutes.
Then you should be able to pry the bell housing off the block. Also, you might be hung on the dowel pins that line the block up on the housing. Spray those too!!!! It works wondermous!"
 
Put some heat to the dowel pin

Put some heat to the dowel pins Eric mentioned and as they cool spray some PB blaster on them. With heat and PB anything will come apart.
