i took off my risers and manifolds off my boat. they look pretty corroded. i read on one of these posts that boiling manifolds helps get rid of the corrosion? do you guys have any other ideas as to how to get the corrosion out of there and get better water flow.

"With today's aftermarket

"With today's aftermarket exhaust manifold and riser prices, I think you will be wasting your money trying to remove corrosion/scale/sludge from your current set. I suggest you get a new set and be trouble-free for a few years. Of course, you can take them to a radiator shop where they can boil them for you, but the results are uncertain and many times they either get perforated during the "boiling" process or you fail days or weeks after being reinstalled."

one of my risers is definitaly

one of my risers is definitaly gonna be replaced. i was just mainly asking what i could do in the mean time. it only has to work for a week or two while i get the parts in. how about clr or some other form of rust dissolver/inhibitor?
