"I recently bought a boat which I was told only needed a starter. It has a '75 140hp in it. I am unable to get it started. I have put in all new ignition components (cap, roter, plugs, wires, condensor and points) It has good spark. Also rebuilt the carberator. It has good gas output. It kicks or backfires but won't kickover.
I have ordered a manual but was wondering if anyone knows the firing order?
If the engine turns out to have internal problems is the an automotive engine I can swap with it?"
