"Starts fine, but after 20 min

"Starts fine, but after 20 minutes of driving, starts missing. Can bring throttle up or down and will start running correct for a short period of time. Runs at slow speed with no problem. Carbs have been adjusted and tune up performed. Any suggestions?"
 
"Tony, That motor likely has

"Tony, That motor likely has the SLOW feature. This feature kills spark to 1/2 the cylinders, if it detects an overheat condition. First check to see that the motor is not overheating. if you can keep your hand on the head for a few seconds, it is not overheating. Now disconnect the port head overheat sensor (two wire sensor, and see if the motor runs smoother. If so replace the sensor."
