"This motor was overheated due to WP failure. I tested the coils and they check out OK, but there is very little or no spark. I purchased a Sierra module and the instructions state that a faulty rectifier can destroy it within seconds. My manual(Seloc)has no tests for the rectifier.
The motor has lots of compression and fires up once for a second or two, then won't fire at all...plugs wet. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks"

"The rectifier is 'insulat

"The rectifier is 'insulated' from the ignition system, and I have difficulties in seeing how that might kill the PP.
Your charge coil might have been dammaged and giving low voltage.
Check that You have ignition (spark) at one cyl at the time (no dubbel spark).
If ok, try to replace the ignition charge coil. You may try to ohm and out-put test it first."
