" I have to replace the props

" I have to replace the props on my Volvo Penta. I can get the back prop off OK but the front one doesn't budge. I have removed the prop nut and the tabbed washer. I have soaked the shaft with WD-40 but it still doesn't move. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas befor I go banging on the prop.

" Alex, I have a 98 Albemarle with the Volvo Dp setup. I bought the boat in feb.2003 I had the same problem I tried every solvent known to man.All different pullers. I had to carefully cut the blades off and then cut down the side making sure not to go to deep as to cut into the shaft

"alex i have a 98 four winns and had the same problem, turns out the previous owner did not use the water proof grease that is called for in the manual. Be sure when installing the new props to use the volvo specified grease"
