"I recently purchased this engine and just had the carbs professionally rebuilt and installed a a fuel water seperator filter, new plugs, fuel filter etc.
Engine starts fine and runs fine at idle. When put into gear and throttle advanced, engine bogs down and will either continue to decrease RPM's or break into full power. Decreasing RPM to idle, while in gear causes engine to quit. IT seems like a mixture problem to me (running rich) but I don't know enough about engines to be sure. Recommendations please!!
