I HAVE A FORCE 70HP 1992- THE

I HAVE A FORCE 70HP 1992- THE BATTERY KEEPS GOING DEAD. THE BATTERY HAS BEEN CHECKED AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I REPLACED THE REGULATOR AND ITS STILL THE SAME. WHATS NEXT?

"Gary, need to test the charging portion of the stator. Quick test is to simply check for continuity between the two wires that feed the regulator from the stator up under the flywheel.

No continuity means it's bad for sure.

The stator provides two functions - voltage for the ignition (primarily) and then voltage to charge the battery (different and separate from ignition) - but it is still all one unit and one can work while the other may be bad...."
