"We had bosie reeds installed

"We had bosie reeds installed at a boat shop late last year. We have 125 psi in the top 4 cyl but only 85/90 in the lower 2 cyl. Have freind that knows were to get remanufactuerd long blocks on exchange and said he would do the work for us. Is it normal for only two, espesially the lower two to go bad with this much differnce, they should cool better than the top ones since the water passes these cyl first. I had a local outboard overhaul/ rebuild shop tell me this was probably caused by one of the follwing. A lean condition caused by a bad crank seal, or carbs. Or possibly cross firing, bad powerpacks. Would the crossfiring cause the engine to miss? If this was caused by a lean condition how fast would that cause a loss of compression. If we buy and have this reman block installed what else should we do? Thanks, Jimmy"
