"I have a high temp alarm. While cruising in last week 3500prm the temp alarm sounded. I turned the motor off checked the motor. Nothing caught my attention. I restarted no alarm. Aprox 5 minutes back at cruise it sounded again. I stopped turned off the motor and rechecked. Again nothing out of the ordinary. The water pump is pumping and holding good pressure. Motor does not seam to be over heated (no gauge but can place my hand on the heads, water out discharge is hot but no more than normal). I cranked back up and ran 18 miles with no more alarm. Does this sound like a sensor? It can not be the thermostats because they have been gutted for two years."
