"Hi - my Bayliner has a 2.3 liter Ford engine. It was fully serviced professionally a few months ago and has run really well until today. (I had cooling probs with it but they have been resolved). The engine started with no problem and ran for a full hour with no problem. Then the problem began. It would only idle. Try the throttle and it cut out. Checked the plugs which were sooted-up, cleaned them and it ran not too bad but the same problem appeared again. Engine has been left standing for a good 2 months but has been started up every now and then, most parts replaced on it including water-pump, coil, water jackets (jackets replaced after the full service). Can anyone cast some light on this one for me or is this a problem common with this engine? Any help appreciated. Thanks. JIM"
