"DRIVING AROUND IN THE PONTOON THE OTHER NIGHT THE PROP JUST STARTED TO FREE SPIN. ENGINE REV'S BUT NO GO! UPON LOOKING AT THE SITUATION 2 OF THE 4 BOLTS THAT HOLD ON THE FOOT WERE GONE ANDTHE OTHER 2 WERE VERY LOOSE, AND IT ALMOST FELL OFF.

"Trey, you are better off posting this in the Force/Chrysler section. Although Merc was "given" the Force line when Brunswick bought out Bayliner, they are very much a "Chrysler" engine.

However, my advice would be - if you can't find a lower unit real cheap, part out the engine, sell it and buy something that is still supported by a dealer network - Force is an "orphan" and very much a "disposable" engine.."
