I HAVE A 04 RANGER REATA WITH

I HAVE A 04 RANGER REATA WITH A 04 VMAX 150. THE TAC HAS NO RED LINE AND WHEN I TRIM OUT IT WON'T TRIM OUT TO A POINT OF CAVITATION. BUT IT DOES TRIM OUT ENOUGH FOR BOAT TO RUN ABOUT 58 MPH. MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS THE MAX RPMS I CAN RUN UP TO WITH OUT HARMING MOTOR. IT SEEMS WHEN I TRIM OUT IT IS TURNING ABOUT 5800 - 6000.

"Mike, that's running a little high. The WOT range for your motor is 4500-5500. Your optimum wide open throttle should be no more than about 5200.

What you are cranking out tells me that you are a little "under propped" and could easily move your pitch up by 3".

Continually running over the recommended WOT will eventually catch up with you and you could well damage the powerhead beyond repair (from an economical standpoint)..."

All you really need to do is keep it down in it's range by taking it easy on the throttle
