" The motor idles fine and when you finally get it up to speed will run at high RPM fine, it's just at the transition from idle to high that usually takes several minutes to accomplish. It may just be my imagination, but it seems work a little better on a very cold morning. Any ideas? "

" SOUNDS LIKE FOULED CARBS. REMOVE THE CARBS, CLEAN AND REINSTALL. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN ALL OF THE JETS IN THE CARBS. AFTER THIS, I THINK YOUR PROBLEM SHOULD GO AWAY.
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN ON THE WATER "

" Ed, Check your fuel pump di

" Ed, Check your fuel pump diagram. If it has a hole, it allows raw fuel into the crankcase via the vacuum hoses. This causes the cylinders to load up at idle or slow speed, and it takes some time for the motor to accelerate and clear them out. "
