470 water in exhaust

Before replacing the sterndriv

Before replacing the sterndrive impeller when I would run it on a hose there was water coming out with the exhaust. Now with the new impeller I ran it on a garden hose and there is no water coming out with the exhaust. Is this normal.

"As long as there was plenty of water exiting at the bottom of the outdrive, it is normal. Generally, a small amount of water or water vapor will exit thru the prop hub while on a hose and muffs while the majority will dump out of the bottom of the OD water outlets."
