"I had water enter the bilge a

"I had water enter the bilge and fuel system due to a faulty bilge pump during a heavy rain. I replaced all the fuel filters, put new fuel pump in, and just had carb rebuilt. The boat starts to run for a second and shuts down now. Noticed that the battery was sparking also when I was trying to start it. Any suggestions in what could be wrong would be great. Thanks"

I wouldn't even turn the battery switch on until the terminals are fixed.

"obvioulsy you need to listen to these guys and tighten your terminal ends! you dont want a big boom, trust us on that one.

what do you have your throttle set to when you are trying to start it? it sould like your engine is starving for fuel. Does it diesel out, or just shut off very quickly?"
