Is it possible to replace the seal and oring on the prop shaft of a '76 Evinrude 6hp (6604a) with out dismantling the lower drive ?

These lower units are quite simple to work on and knowing the history of the motor I would reccommend you take it apart for inspection.The seal can be replaced without taking it apart but the o-ring can not.
