43 merc rumble and slight tick or knock on acceleration

Wondered if you can help identify the source of rumble sound that has happened since partial sinking?
Few weeks ago boat got snagged on it's mooring and filled with sea water up to mid point on crank pulley has taken a while to sort out all electricals but took it for its first spin today!
Everything seemed fine apart from a slight rumble from rear of engine that is present at all speeds and all steering trim angles also on hard acceleration at about 2500-3000 rpm there is a momantary ticking or slight knocking!
What is this likely to be?
Possibly Gimble or UJ?
was not there before sinking!

You are in the right area. If there is no variation in the sound as you lift the leg up it will most likely be the Gimble.
If the sound seems to change as you lift the leg it will probably be the Uni Joints.
Either way you need to pull the leg and see what is going on, so check the lot while you are there and look at your bellows and shift key as well.
