I'm in the process of repowering a 1989 7.4L with a jasper long block, and noticed my valve covers have some rust on the inside surfaces. Merc has them listed as NLA. Anybody know if older (early 70ish) 454 automotive valve covers will fit gen 4 heads? There are lots of inexpensive covers on ebay that appear to be identical - complete with the breather baffles and drippers. Any thoughts are appreciated."
