"Jason, can help you out here a little. You have a 1949, 5 horse, twin cylinder built by Scott-Atwater and sold as a Firestone model.

Can't give you much more than that - I don't work on anything "this old"

Scott-Atwaters were very prolific and popular, marketed under numerous "store" brand names and alot of tune-up/minor parts are still very much available.

If you don't mind spending a few bucks on a manual for this you can get ahold of the guys at www.discount-marine-parts.com they have copies of manuals for most old/discontinued lines of motors..."
