"I have a 1975 7.5hp Merc. The hose between the lower crankcase and the intake transfer port broke and sprayed some fuel around under the cover. The hose has been replaced however it now will not idle. It seems to be running very rich, smoking a lot and the plugs come out wet. It will start, runs rough, and anything below the start area it dies out. The check valve is working in the crankcase and it isn't cloged in the transfer port fitting. Plenty of spark, compression, and I rebuilt the carb. I'm not to sure where to go next."
