I have a problem when my boat

I have a problem when my boat starts to pickup speed. The motor seems to rev high but the power is not getting to the prop. It start to slip around 20mph. Any suggestions.

"Sounds like your prop is spinning on the hub.

You can check this by putting a mark on the hub and an ajacent mark on the prop and take her out.

After the problem occurs again, stop and take a look - if the marks don't line up anymore, it's time to have the prop hub replaced.

This is not uncommon. The hub has a rubber (sleeve) around it. Designed to prevent damage if you hit something that stops the prop "dead". It will spin on the hub instead of eating up your gears. And they do wear out over time..."
 
I am lookinf for the needle va

I am lookinf for the needle valve portion of the carb for a 1973 merc 650 I have located whole carbs only. Can any one help

Try www.oldmercs.com they may not have the needles available individually, but they sell rebuild kits that include them for about 20 bucks or so...."
