"In trying to get a Fuel pump diaphram, I'm beginning to suspect the engine on my 9022C frame is not the engine that should be there.

Is there another number on the block?
Somthing I can use to Ident. this engine?"
 
"There should be a "welsh

"There should be a "welsh plug" (small silver disc or button) on the water jacket of the cylider head. It will contain the model/serial number.

The pic is of a small Ev, showing what you are looking for and the approximate location (it does vary a little in location)..

"Yours should be bigger and yes, different. That pic is of an 87 2.5hp. But regardless, the plug should be there.

If you are standing behind the engine (as it's hooked on the boat), the plug is normally on the right hand side, on the water jacket, close to the back of the engine...."
