" I have aquired a late 50's Viking 12 HP motor. It is a metalic red with white trim. I would give Model and Ser # but it is at cottage. Lower gear case is missing. Otherwise in excellent condition. Case is not broken, lower end has been unbolted and somehow previous owner has "lost it". Who manufacted these motors?

The lower half of the gearcas

The lower half of the gearcase is matched to the upper ( machined as an assembly)others may fit and then again they may not.
