"I just purchased a Honda bf15

"I just purchased a Honda bf15 this weekend, and was thinking that the 9.9 and 15 hp shared the same block. I just noticed that it is 15 and 20 hp that are the same size. Can anyone educate me on whether it is possible to bump the 15hp up to 20hp? Also, can electric start be added to a rope start engine?

"The old style 9.9 and 15 were

"The old style 9.9 and 15 were the same, but the new style 8/9.9 are smaller engines (less displacement) than the new style 15/20. You can convert a 15 to a 20, but it's not worth the $$$. You will need a new carburator, a new cam, and a new ECM."
