"I just got this boat. It would fire, but not idle or stay running. I clean out the carb bowls and replaced the bowl gaskets and now I beleive it is running on all 4 cyl. I took it to the lake and when I put it in the water it only went into gear 4 times with about 50 attempts. I got it back home and there was about 1/2 cup of grey foamy oil draining out of the prop. On note is that when the engine was only running on 2 cyl. it went into and out of gear every time when tested on land, but it was idling much slower. I did not test the gears after I got the other 2 cyl. on line and it does seem to be idling fast. Will that keep it from going in gear?"
