I'm looking to install trailer disk brakes on my single axle boat trailer which presently has none. I see two predominant manufacturers, Tie-Down and Trailer Buddy (UFP). The trailer is used in fresh and saltwater. I'm looking for advice on manufactures and your experiences both good and bad.

"first, I'd like to ask what kind of boat and what size is it that you're hauling? How often are you towing? Why do you think you need trailer brakes on a single axle trailer? Most single axle trailers are for smaller boats that aren't that heavy anyways. What kind of vehicle are you towing with? After that, I would stick with Trailer Buddy brakes.........if you really have to have them!!"
