"the trim motor runs but the motor will not trim after sitting this winter. I checked the manual release valve and it was tight. I then tried to raise the engine manually after releasing the valve and could not. I removed the valve and let oil out and then I could raise it. Checked the oil level and it was ok, even after the oil leaked out of the release valve.

Any ideas?"

"I have the SELOC manual and it reads like it is self bleeding. It will not go up on its own, so I open the manual release valve and raise the engine by hand. I just did this again, and more fluid leaks out of the fill tube. My guess is that it needs bleeding, but I am stumped on how to do it.

This trim is the single piston type attached to the engine with the trim motor next to the hydrolic piston.
