An alarm usually goes off afte

An alarm usually goes off after starting my Mariner 90hp engine. Is this a warning that the engine is not cooling properly? The stream of water from the impeller seems to be sufficient at higher speeds and weak at idle.

Exactly what kind of noise does the alarm make?

Is it a conmtinuous tone or a series of beeps?

It makes a shrill constant sound. If you adjust the key until the gauges do not operate it goes away.

"happened to mine and it was the oil level alarm. The alarm went off immediately, so i knew it was not an overheating engine.
You have to buy a whole new oil tank and install it as the guage/alarm is built inside it. Easy job to do."
