I have a 97 Four Winns with 4.

I have a 97 Four Winns with 4.3GL Volvo and SX outdrive. I have an ever so slight leak under the outdrive cover. I am not sure what the part is called where it is leaking but there is a long thin vertical rod attached to it. It is milky which I know can't be good. I drained to oil in the drive and it looks as new as the day I put it in. I am guessing I have to just change to O ring or oil seal on that part? Can someone help with advice. Sorry I couldn't give a better description.

No big deal to replace it; but if yo have never done it before, you may want to get hold of a copy of the Seloc manual (3606) covering the procedure.

You will also have to drain the oil from the outdrive, then load it with a fresh batch, run the engine with the outdrive into gear for a few minutes, then renew the oil again."
