"I have a slightly bent inner

"I have a slightly bent inner shaft. It appears that to replace it I do not need to remove the drive shaft or even the unit from the transom.
Anyone have any experience with this? A couple of "special" tools and some new seals only?
Also, anyone know a better source for this shaft other than V.P.? Found (2) used ones that are guaranteed true, but I'm hesitant. Inner shaft is $550.00 list from dealer.

"replaceing the shaft is east,

"replaceing the shaft is east, it`s reshiming the bearings that gets tricky. Best get yourself a manual before deciding if you want to take this on yourself or hire a shop to do it for you."
