"When running yesteday, the check engine light and horn came on several times. I turned the engine off and waited a minute restarted and it ran fine for several minutes. Two times the engine lost power when the light and horn came on, so I turned it off and waited, finally the light and horn stayed off and I was able to make it back to the Marina. Temparture was normal. Are the plugs and fuel injectors connected to the check engine light circuit? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank. The engine is a 1998."

"I have an 8hp mercury 4 stroke kicker motor that I accidently put in reverse while the engine was NOT running and I can not get it back into the nutural or forward position, Of course the manual say to NEVER place in reverse unless the motor is running, however, it does not say why (other than the obvious) it's locked in reverse. or how to correct this problem, getting it back into nutural, any suggestions?
