I have a problem. My 35 Johnson has a bolt that goes through the stern bracket instead of a hole. I want to use teleflex steering. Is there a conversion I can do to mount the teleflex cable so it passes through the stern bracket?

I had a 35 years ago that had the same bracket. But at the bracket pivot there was a hole for the teleflex cable (instead of a bolt).

I found what I needed to keep from converting the tilt area of the engine. TeleFlex makes a product called a "Clamp Block". Neat setup for older engines.
