"I purchased an old pontoon last year that had a 9.9 evinrude. I took it to a local shop and had the carb cleaned, new water pump, impellar, etc. It runs fine. I am trying to find out if it charges the battery and if i can hook up some running lights or not. It has an electric start. I am troubled because the numbers tell me its a 1979 9.9 but theres another letter at the end of the model number. any help or info is greatly appreciated. model #: 10955B ser #:E0001480"
