" The rebuild on my 1978 Evinrude 140 is going to cost a little more than I thought. I haven't ruled out the rebuild, but I'm looking around for other options.
On Ebay I found a 2001 'Rude FICHT 150 that, according to the marina selling it, has almost no hours. The price is very reasonable for a 150 that new. I recall reading about the earlier FICHT engines having problems burning up pistons and such. Were these ironed out by 2001? Also, was this a Bombardier branded engine or was it still OMC.
