"OMC's code is the word INTRODUCES whereas each letter represents a number. The "CO" within the model number indicates "85". Your engine is a 1985 25hp Johnson.

What year is my 25 HP Johnson all I have is the serial Number on the engine. The plate with model number is missing. Serial number J2568416
