1980 Crusader 454bs Runs then diebs

Have a 1980 Chris Craft Const

Have a 1980 Chris Craft Constellation with twin Crusader 454's. Engines run for a while and then die out and won't restart. Any idea's ... Ignition Timing? Both Carbs were just replaced and when the engines start they purr like kittens.

" Tell me more. Do they eveer restart or how long before they start again. If it is both engines, I say that something is wrong in common such as fuel supply. Is the fuel level in the tank OK, Is the tank vented properly, supply lines and shut offs checked for restrictions? Loose battery connections that heat up causing high resistance then cool off and are OK again for a while. Do some basic homework and checks and then give me more details. Glad to try to help.
