" I backed into something with my evenrude 150 and bent the skeg. Can i place a 2X4 on each side of the skeg and useing c-clamps to apply pressure, straighten it? "

" You are better off to back-up the skeg with a piece of steel or a heavy board, then wack the other side with a 2 lb. hammer. Don't try to straighten it with one wack!. So far hammer 100, skeg 0. Good luck "
