" I've had a Gamefisher 9.9 for about a year now. I believe it's a 1979 or 1980. I've had no problems at all until recently. Took it out on the lake and wouldn't start at all. Checked fuel & mixture -ok (my other outboard runs fine on the same gas), gas lines -ok, checked plug gap - ok & not fouled. Checked electrical system - seemed ok, no loose or frayed wires. However, when I take either plug out and ground it aginst the block and crank - No spark at all! Motor won't even sputter with starting fluid ! It was trailered in a driving rainstorm for about an hour. Any chance water got into my transformers or wrecked some other part of the ignition ?? Thanks for any help ! "
