My motor quit starting it cra
My motor quit starting it cranks and sounds like metal grinding then it just makes a spinning noise. I can pull start it with just one pull.
When I opened the case I found metal shavings around the fly wheel. I had just replaced the starter bendix less than 12 starts ago. Now the same problem. The battery has a full charge and all cables are clean and tight. The fly wheel feel rough on the bottom side. Do I need to replace the fly wheel? Do I need a new started? What would cause the bedix to quit working so soon?
