"Engine starts fine, but does not throttle down completely, seems to 'stick' at around 1500-1800rpm's. Throttle cable or carb problem???"

"My bet is sticky cable. I had the same problem with an 898 a few years back. You may be able to grease it. If you grease the extended sleeve at the carb (with the control at WOT), that may help, since that is where they get wet, dirty and corroded. Otherwise, new cable time.
