I seen this rig about 8 mos ag

I seen this rig about 8 mos ago on Ebay and it was a bracket that mounted on the outdrive that you could mount up to about a 10hp outboard directly on the outdrive. Has anyone ever seen or used these and know if they are still made? I do alot of downrigger and planer board fishing and was thinking about using my 8 HP for a trolling motor.

I've even seen a setup like that on a straight inboard. The owner rigged up the steering somehow to his regular rudder and had remotes for the OB. Works great.

PS: You'd be surprised how little power is needed to go 6 to 8 mph!

"No, that isn't it. This was like a metal frame that mounted directly to the leg so when you mounted a small outboard on it, it was in parralel with the outdrive. Basically used the outdrive to mount it and steer it."
