Fuel Water Seperator

Want to install a new fuel wat

Want to install a new fuel water separator in my boat. I have a 3.0 Mercruiser 1990. Where do these get installed and is it easy to do. I saw a kit at Walmart for 25.00. It just looks like the fuel line going to my fuel pump is a large rubber hose and the fuel line going from pump to carb is metal fuel line. And the Separator has only metal female fittings. Any help would be awsome>..

"It usually goes in the the line running from the tank to the fuel pump. Just run the hose from the the tank into the "in" fitting, then run the same rubber hose "out" to the fuel pump."

You'll need to get some Hose Barbs for it to match your rubber Fuel Line.......
