"Just got a 1990 boat with a mercruiser 3.0L engine in it. Took if for a test drive and ran pretty well. When I went WOT it missed, popped and wouldnt go. I let it relax at idle for a few minutes and then it went WOT with no problem. Did this to me twice. But otherwise opens right up. I did notice the RPMs surging a little bit too. Any help. it has Distributor Less Ignition."

"The boat sat for over a year before I bought it, I did siphon the fuel out of it and added a fresh tank with a can of sea foam and some Stabil. Had it in the shop for a tune up and they took apart te carb and cleaned it. Everything seems alright except for this intermittent miss under load?? Any other suggestions."
 
Find the electrical connector

Find the electrical connector on the main engine wiring loom. Pull it appart and make sure all the pins are clean.

How about the Fuel Filters,..??..??..."
 
Is there another filter in lin

Is there another filter in line right before the fuel pump? The little basket filter on the carb is good.
