"There doesn't appear to be any timing marks on my engine just one notch cut in the timing tab. Can I assume that when the pulley mark lines up with the notch it is TDC, 0 degrees? I know the ECU adjusts the timing but do I set the base timing at TDC with the service mode on with the scan tool?"
 
there are timing marks on the

there are timing marks on the balancer. either side of the TDC mark. clean it and You will see them. set timing to spec in book.

"Scott, Well you were absolutely correct. After I took some 120 wet sandpaper to the balancer and removed the paint, there were the timing marks! Thanks for your help!"
